Donna Myers, a 26-year Northwestern resident, has served on the Board for many years.
Donna also serves on High Schools That Work-SW Ohio, and Ohio School Boards Association Southwest Executive Committee,
Donna retired in February 2011 as a Registered Nurse with a degree from Community Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield, Ohio.
Donna received the All Ohio School Board 2011 Ohio School Boards Association Award and the Ohio School Boards Association’s Award of Achievement in March 2012.
Donna has two children, both graduates of Northwestern Local Schools; she also has four grandchildren two of which currently attend Northwestern Local Schools.
Donna’s current term on the Board will expire in December 2017.

Libbee Hasting is a 1983 graduate of Northwestern High School. She is an advocate for public education, agricultural conservation, and the promotion of life-long learning.
Libbee and her husband Dan own and operate their grain farm where they raised two children, also Northwestern graduates.
Libbee has served on many boards and committees, served as a youth leader for more than 15 years, and is currently employed by the Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center.
She began serving on the Northwestern Local School Board with her appointment to the board on August 10, 2015. Libbee's current term on the Board will expire in December 2018. Russ Steele - Board Vice Presidentsteeler@nwlschools.org
Russ Steele is a 1968 graduate from Northwestern Local Schools. Russ earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1972 from Bethel College with a Major in Secondary Education in Science & Mathematics, a Master of Education in 1983 from Wright State University with a Major in Secondary Principalship & Curriculum Supervision and a Post Graduate with 30 Semester Hours from the University of Dayton.
Russ and his wife Nadine married in 1972, they have two sons Ryan married to Kayleen and Jeremy married to Megan. Russ and Nadine are proud grandparents of seven grandchildren.
Russ has been serving on the Northwestern Board of Education since 2008. Russ has held various positions at Newson Missionary Church in St. Paris, Ohio from 1972-present. He is the owner of Russ Steele Construction and currently is a Farm Owner/Operator of 50% of 120 acres. Russ is a retired teacher from both Tecumseh Local Schools and the Springfield Clark Career Technology Center.

Andy is a third generation graduate of Northewestern Local Schools. He graduated in 1994 and continued his education at Wittenberg University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Management before continuing to get his MBA from Keller School of Management in 2012.
Community involvement is important to Andy, who has served on the Pike Township Zoning Board as well as the Springfield Christian Youth Ministries Board. He has been a youth leader at his church, a church volunteer, a 4-H leader and mentor, as well as a coach for youth soccer and basketball.
Andy's wife, Melissa is also a Northwestern graduate and they currently have three children who attend Northwestern and are actively involved in several of our atheletic programs. Faith is a sophomore, Grace is in the eighth grade and Isaac is in the fourth grade.
Andy has resided in the Northwestern district for 36 years and currently is employed by Johnson and Johnson. He brings a great deal of loyalty and experience to our board.
Andy's current term on the Board will expire in December 2017.
Jason Chilman- Board Member
Jason brings a unique blend of experience as a parent, educator, and an administrator to the Northwestern Board of Education. As an administrator he has supervised both academic and career technical staff, managed buildings and project budgets, and has worked on various outreach events to unite the community and schools to create successful and valuable partnerships.
Jason received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology Education from Purdue in 2000, and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from University of Cincinnati in 2007. He was previously an Industrial Technology teacher for Ross Local Schools and an Assistant Principal for Butler Technology and Career Development Schools. Jason most recently was the Director of Attendance and Discipline for the Springfield Career and Technology Center and is currently the Principal and Vocational Learning Director of the Learning Opportunities Center.
He, along with his wife Jennifer and two children have lived in the Northwestern District for 3 years. His daughter Alyssa is currently in first grade at Northwestern and his son Zachary will be starting Kindergarten in the fall.
