Mrs. Wildermuth's 7th grade math students have been working hard on their Winter Exam by working with percents. They had to choose items to "sell" in their store, markup the price, then discount the price. On the day of their exam, they participated in a simulation of buying and selling their items. Students have had so much fun with this assignment, and they are learning real world concepts that they will take with them forever!

Last week, students taking Aerospace Engineering took a field trip to our local Springfield-Beckley Airport. While there, students were immersed in the field of aerospace technology. In the first two sessions, students learned about fixed-base operations and airport management and then visited with Skyvision, which is the Ohio Department of Transportation's UAS air traffic control department. Next, students traveled the tarmac to learn from the maintenance and repair teams at Spectra Jet and Lone Mountain Aircraft about the both Learjets and Cirrus aircrafts they service. Students also learned about the drone innovations happening at SelectTech Geospatial. The day wrapped up with students trying out the flight simulators for both Joby and Beta eVTOL aircrafts. It was a great day of career connections!

Congratulations to our New Carlisle Rotary Students of the Month- Kyla Payne, Citizen of the Month and Leah Fraker, Student of the Month.
