A couple of budding musicians in Mr. Feltner's Symphonic Band were recently asked to audition for some area accomplished musicians to get professional feedback on their skill and talent. They were asked to bring their talent and they sure did! Way to go Emma and Noah on amazing displays of your musical knowledge and skill. We know there is more to come as you continue to grow as musicians 🎼🎵🎶

Connect & Create: The Warrior Way

This Facebook post was created by a student in Northwestern High School's Social Media Marketing Class.

This fall we started recognizing students at our monthly board meetings for their achievements. Teachers and staff members nominated students for their academics, behavior, leadership, teamwork, work ethic, outstanding performances in a particular academic area, etc.
A statement from Principal, Mrs. Kleinhenz: "A Night to Shine is a complimentary event, most often a prom, hosted by local churches around the world, for individuals with special needs, and is sponsored by the Tim Tebow foundation. The event is open to anyone living with disabilities, ages 14 and older. Guests are paired with a buddy for the night to do different activities.
Clark County's Night to Shine included 5 Northwestern students as 'buddies' for the honored guests. These ladies did an excellent job of representing our school! "

📖📚Students in Ms. Beal’s Spanish 3 class are exploring literature written in Spanish.
🎉Fiesta Fatal💀 is an easy Spanish reader containing just 140 new vocabulary words and many Spanish-English cognates.
They are discussing text related questions such as:
❓❓Does every girl deserve to be treated as a princess for a day?
❓❓Or are there definite exceptions? If anyone deserves a disastrous quinceañera birthday party, it is mean-spirited Vanesa Romero.
🇲🇽Taking place in Mexico, Vanesa wants to impress everyone at her party, thus restoring her image with her classmates. If she only could fix her rocky relationship with her mom, things would be nearly perfect. Much to her surprise, when she puts on her extravagant dress for the party she becomes a target rather than a princess for a day.

We are hiring for a first shift, full-time custodian!

On February 4th, a group of Mrs. Scaggs's 6th grade students who have been reading books by author Margaret Peterson Haddix had the opportunity to interact with her on a Google Meet. Haddix talked to students about the writing process, how she gets ideas for her books, what it is like to try to get a book published and she gave book talks about several of her titles. At the end of the presentation, students were able to ask questions to the Ohio Author.
Her advice to students: keep reading and writing. Story ideas are everywhere!
To learn more about this excellent young adult author, check out her website or follow her on social media outlets.
