At the monthly school board meetings, we are recognizing students for their achievements. Teachers and staff members are nominating students for their academics, behavior, leadership, teamwork, work ethic, outstanding performances in a particular academic area, etc. In addition, the German Township Fire Department sponsored an art contest at the Elementary School and provided gift cards to the winners. Kara Jarvis (1st place), Annabelle Arthur (2nd place) and Emery Cuy Castellanos (3rd place) were the winners of this contest.

Hello Parents of Students in Grade 6 - 11,
Mark your calendars for the annual College Credit Plus (CCP) meetings. This meeting is for parents of students who wish to earn college credit during high school for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Students must be college ready and meet college requirements to participate. Please join us to learn more about CCP. There will be two meetings.

County Wide Meeting: Thursday, January 15, 5:30 - 7:30 PM at the Kuss Auditorium.
5:30 - 6:30 meet with college reps
6:30 large group information session
7:00 break out sessions with high school counselors

CCP Recap Meeting: Wednesday, January 28 at 6:00 PM in the NW Jr/Sr High Cafeteria. This meeting will focus on how students can take college classes at the Jr./Sr. High School.

Flyers will be sent home with 6th - 11th grade students in January.

Our 8th graders are having an unforgettable experience exploring Washington, D.C. this week! From tracing history on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to walking through the halls of the Smithsonian museums, students had the chance to see their social studies lessons come to life!

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Veterans 🇺🇸 Today, we pause to honor and thank all those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Your courage, dedication, and sacrifice protect the freedoms we cherish every day. Our Northwestern community is deeply grateful to our veterans — including staff members, family, and community partners — for their service to our nation. Northwestern alumni (class of 1966), Mr. Donald Putterbaugh, donated benches in honor of all veterans. The memorial can be found on campus out front of the Jr/Sr High School.
